Jonas Bulavinas’ country tourism farmstead
The old Minija (Mingė) village, situated between Krokø Lanka Lake and the Curonian lagoon, is a listed object of architectural heritage. As the village farmsteads are located on both sides of the Minija River and locals visit each other by boats, the place is often called Lithuanian Venice.
The Minija village is in the Nemunas Delta Regional park, where even 169 kinds of birds hatch. Close to the Minija village there is one of the oldest in the world – Ventė bird ringing station.
At the outskirts of the village on the bank of the Minija River there is Jonas Bulavinas’ country tourism farmstead, which can accommodate up to 20tourists at a time (rooms are 2-or 3-bed). The owner of the homestead offers a ship (30-seat) to run up the rivers to Uostadvaris, around Rusnė Island and, of course, across the Curonian Lagoon to Neringa. Tourists may also fish, sail by boats and by water bicycles. They can also rent bikes that are convenient vehicles to go to Ventė or to tour round the island of Rusnė.
In the farmstead there are basketball, mini football and volleyball grounds, a Russian bathhouse with a party hall and rooms. There are 4 outdoor fireplaces with spacey summerhouses in the garden. |
